It is the policy of Summit Hockey that, when available, scholarship funding will be available to families that demonstrate financial need, and no more than $125.00 applied towards equipment. This does not include uniform, or travel expenses.
The responsibility for scholarship approval rests with the Financial Aid Director. Any financial information collected by Summit Hockey will be reviewed solely by this individual and kept in strict confidence.
Summit Hockey uses financial aid guidelines similar to the Summit Foundation. Questions about whether your family would qualify for financial aid can be directed to the Financial Aid Director (Contact info Above).
Procedure
- Applicant(s) must submit a completed Scholarship Application Form with the USA Hockey/CAHA registration form. Application must be submitted no later than August 23rd, 2008.
- Applicant(s) must furnish the Financial Aid Director with a copy of the 1st page of the previous year.s tax return. (Note: if parents do not file jointly, or are divorced/separated, tax returns from both parents are required)
- Applicant(s) may submit a letter stating any extenuating circumstances or any other documents demonstrating financial need along with the above.
